Chris was born in New York City, and moved around the country as he grew up and began running several successful businesses before he began high school. Chris attended the University of Arizona, and graduated in 2002 with a Bachelors Degree in Business, and a minor in Retail and Consumer studies. During his college career he purchased his first house at the age of 18, by the time he graduated he had bought, renovated and sold 8 properties.
The day he graduated he packed his bags and headed to New York City pursuing a career as a Commercial Real Estate Broker. He was immediately hired by Marcus Millichap (the largest Real Estate Investment Brokerage Company in the Country) as an associate where he sourced and obtained exclusive sales rights to sell over $64 Million in high profile Manhattan Properties from multiple owners during his first year of employment. As much as he flourishes as a Broker he could not help but to return to his passion of developing and renovating houses. He began buying and renovating Brownstones all over New York City. This proved to be extremely rewarding to him yet very time consuming, causing him to resign at Marcus and Millichap and continue this full time in 2005.
In 2006 Chris began to eye the Houston real Estate Market, fascinated by the bargain real estate prices along with the slightly more bearable climate. Over the course of the year has purchased renovated and sold multiple high end properties throughout Houston. The flying back and forth started to wear on him and he made the decision to sell off all of his New York Properties and Move to Houston Officially.
Frustrated by the quality and overall service of the real estate companies in Houston, Chris opened Habitation Realty in Heights neighborhood of Houston. He wanted to create a real estate company that combines the best overall imagery with the most proactive marketing campaign in the industry. He knows the market like only a real estate investor would, and brings his sales, construction and design experience to every transaction.
Chris and his renovated properties have been featured in various publications including The New York Times, The New York Post, The New York Sun, The New Yorker, and Brownstoner.com. In New York, one of his properties was featured on HGTV’s “Hidden Potential.” In Houston, “Flip That House”on TLC shot an entire episode on one of Chris’s projects.
